Updates
- The Guide is inside Vanguard. The Guide page now shows every help page itself, with a page list on the left, instead of opening a separate window. Web links still open in your browser.
- One sidebar for every game. Picking an emulator bot under Instances now switches the pages in the same sidebar and opens on the page you were on, instead of showing a second sidebar. The attach box shows the bot you picked.
- Tidier sidebar buttons. Contact, Changelog and Discord at the bottom of the sidebar are now three equal tiles instead of a cramped row.
New features
- Support skills on march presets. In Macro settings, each march preset has two Support menus. Pick the commander and the skill you have set for that commander in game, and the march takes it.
Bug fixes
- March sizes are right again with iconic gear. Vanguard read your gear’s iconic level wrong, aimed too high and then sent a much smaller march. It now reads each piece the way the game shows it, and counts Army Expansion while it runs.
Bug fixes
- March size matches your commander screen when your gear has a Unit Capacity bonus. Refined gear bonuses are now rounded the way the game rounds them, and the accessory bonus is no longer counted twice.
Updates
- Support skills in the Activity Log. Each march key now logs which support skill each commander gives. Vanguard does not use support skills yet.
Bug fixes
- Marches with Unit Capacity gear were sized wrong and refused by the game. Vanguard now works out your march size exactly the way the game does, and the log shows the sum so you can check it against your commander screen.
- A preset saved with a regular commander now sends the Prime version when you own it, for example Sun Tzu Prime instead of Sun Tzu. The result says when it swaps.
Updates
- Prime commanders have their own names. Sun Tzu, Scipio Africanus, Joan of Arc, Boudica, Belisarius, and Ragnar Lodbrok each listed twice under one name. The Prime versions now read ”… Prime”. Ivan the Terrible and William Marshall now show their names too.
Bug fixes
- Vanguard now knows your full march size without a fresh login. It remembers your account bonuses (VIP, crystal tech, items, KvK buffs) from the last time it saw you log in, and drops each one when it runs out.
- A “too many troops” answer from the game no longer caps your march size for good. Vanguard forgets it after 6 hours, so a bigger march is tried after you gain a new bonus.
New features
- Rally rush: Just join, no teleport. A new switch on the Rally rush card. With it on, every ticked city joins from where it stands. It never teleports and is never skipped for being too far away. See Rally rush.
Updates
- Preset labels. The march preset box now names the Primary and Secondary commander.
Bug fixes
- Macro marches got refused many times before one went out. Vanguard now remembers the march size the game accepted for each commander pair and starts from there.
- The all-presets key asked later presets for troops the earlier ones had already taken. Each preset now gets the troops that are left.
Bug fixes
- Macro keys now send on the first press. You no longer need to type a troop number: Vanguard offers the full march and trims it until the game accepts.
- When a preset’s commanders are busy, the key sends your strongest free pair and says why yours were not used.
New features
- Army Group key. The Army Group hotkey now creates an Army Group with the march you set in the new Army Group row of Macro settings. See Macro mode.
Bug fixes
- Macro keys said “no free commander” when nothing was out, after a march came home from the Ark of Osiris map. Keys now check your commanders and troops with the game first.
New features
- More macro keys. Teleport, march presets 1 to 5 (or all), Send everyone home from the alliance building I clicked, Start a rally on what I clicked, and Cancel my rally now work on the PC client. Teleport and march presets aim at the middle of your screen; click keys use what you clicked in the last two minutes. A key that cannot aim exactly says why and sends nothing. See How spot keys aim.
- Show the spot I’m looking at. A test key that sends nothing and writes the map spot your screen is on in the log.
Bug fixes
- The hotkey box now records the key you press, including F keys. Click the box and press the key; Backspace clears it.
New features
- Subscription time at the top. The top bar shows how many days your subscription has left. It turns orange in the last 7 days. Click it to open the License page. Vanguard Hub shows the days left next to License. See License.
Updates
- Rolling barbarian chains. Each march now pulls one barbarian after another with its area skill, the way players do it by hand. A kill target can stop a hunt mid-chain. The pack-size setting is gone. See Hunt barbarians.
- Simpler Hunt barbarians card. The card shows only settings that do something. The search radius is replaced by the travel-time limit. Values you set before still apply.
Bug fixes
- Separate stop buttons. The one Stop button stopped every bot at once. The top bar now has Stop, Stop macros, and Stop all, and each acts only on the bot whose page you are on.
Bug fixes
- Emulator bots no longer say “Not enough troops home” when you have troops.
- Errors with no message now say what failed in the Activity Log.
Updates
- Barbarian chaining with the area skill. A chaining march attacks one barbarian, then walks so its area skill pulls in the next, instead of attacking each one.
Bug fixes
- Vanguard no longer says “RoK not running” after BlueStacks restarts under a different name.
- Emulator bots now see your city, so training, healing, and the Blacksmith work.
- Link governors and switching governors now work on emulators. See Governors.
- An emulator game that loses its server connection now reconnects or restarts by itself.
- When you save a new key, running emulator bots pick it up within 30 seconds.
New features
- Emulator bots fill your key. When Main attaches to an emulator, Vanguard starts a bot for each other emulator running the game, up to your key’s client count. See Multiple games.
Updates
- What runs on Overview. Pick Bot only, Macro only, or Both in the new What runs box on Overview. Hotkeys, march presets, and rally settings are in Macro settings. See What runs.
- Main finds its emulator. Main no longer assumes one emulator. It looks through LDPlayer and BlueStacks for the one running the game.
New features
- Macro mode (Tier 2). Hotkeys that act on the game right away, next to the bot or instead of it. The first keys are Stop and Send everyone home from my city. Not in Vanguard Hub. See Macro mode.
Updates
- Calmer gem farming. Vanguard waits a random while before each gem march and each move, and no longer sends gem marches home on its own. You bring them home in the game or with Rush prep. See Gather.
Updates
- Distances in km. Every distance in Vanguard now uses km, the same as the game shows on a rally card. One map tile is 0.6 km. Your settings are converted for you, so nothing changes in how Vanguard behaves. For example, 25 tiles becomes 15 km.
- Potions step up a size. When a potion does not raise your action points, Vanguard tries the next size up instead of giving up. See Action Point Recoveries.
Updates
- Action Point Recoveries. One potion rule now covers Hunt barbarians, Start fort rallies, and Fort rallies. Press Potions… next to Use action point potions. Choose Use from smallest to largest, or Custom to pick how many of each size Vanguard may use. See Action Point Recoveries.
- Safer potion use. Vanguard uses potions one at a time, only while action points are short, and stops if a potion does not raise them.
New features
- Fort rallies can use action point items. Joining fort and marauder rallies now has a Use action point items when short switch. Off by default.
Updates
- Peacekeeping lead for fort rallies. When you have not picked commanders, Start fort rallies leads with your strongest free Peacekeeping commander, so each rally costs fewer action points.
- Keys made for you belong to your email. A key you did not buy on the site is tied to the ROK-ROYALTY account with your email. Sign in once in Vanguard and paste the key as before.
New features
- Sign in with your ROK-ROYALTY account. The License page has a Sign in button. Sign in on rokroyalty.com in your browser, press Connect, and Vanguard is signed in. Vanguard Hub signs in once for all its accounts. See License.
- Your key runs for your account. Keys bought on rokroyalty.com belong to the account that bought them, and only that account can renew them. Keys you already have keep working until they end.
- My Purchases page. See your keys, your payments, and a Download Vanguard button at rokroyalty.com. See Find your key.
- Instances box. With a key for more than one client, the sidebar lists Main and each emulator bot. Click one to open it. Add an emulator bot finds your LDPlayer and BlueStacks games.
Updates
- Your sign-in is kept in your own Windows user folder. Copying the Vanguard folder no longer hands it to someone else. Press Sign in once after updating.
- Features your tier does not include are shown with a lock and a Renew or upgrade link, instead of being hidden.
New features
- Download links. rokroyalty.com/download/vanguard always gives the newest Vanguard installer.
Updates
- Guide opens these docs. Guide in the sidebar opens the full online guide in its own window, always up to date.
- Renew or buy from the License page. The License page always has a Renew or upgrade button, or Buy a key when you have none.
- Discord icon. The Discord button is now a small logo next to Contact us.
Bug fixes
- Vanguard reconnects by itself. When the game closes, restarts, or loses its connection, Vanguard waits and carries on once your city is back. After you log in on another device, it waits 5 minutes (you can change this) so it does not kick you out.
- The game comes back by itself. After a crash or a login on another device, Vanguard restarts the game on the PC or the emulator and carries on.
- A game you close stays closed. Vanguard only restarts the game after a crash or a login elsewhere, never after you close it yourself.
The first release under the Vanguard name. Your installed app updates itself into Vanguard and keeps your settings.
New features
- Contact us. A button in the sidebar sends a message to support, with your activity log attached if you tick it. The log never holds your password or your key. See Contact us.
- The Vanguard crest is the app icon and sits at the top of the sidebar.
Updates
- New look. The window uses the ROK-ROYALTY design with gold frames and Cinzel headings. Every button and setting is where it was.
- Bot settings is now Settings.
- The Emulators page is gone. Vanguard Hub runs many accounts.
Bug fixes
- Stop now ends the loop as soon as the running chore finishes, instead of after the whole round.
Highlights from the 0.2 versions, before the app was named Vanguard.
New features
- Rally rush and Teleport now in the regular app as well as Vanguard Hub, with Rush prep and Post rush.
- Mobilization quests. Tick the Alliance Mobilization quests an account may take, in your order. The bot accepts, does, and turns them in.
- Act like a person. On by default: the bot reacts after a natural delay and takes daily claims at uneven times.
- Gem limits. Limit gem farming per day and to set hours, with random breaks.
- Gem march pairs. Pick which commanders go on gem marches.
- Barbarian chaining. Marches pull barbarians together so the area skill hits them all.
- More free draws. The tavern’s free material chest and legendary chest, the alliance big chest, and the State Forum reward box.
- Crystal research in KvK lands, and Crystal buildings on the build list.
- Keys start on first use. A new key’s days count from the day you first use it.
- Installer and small updates. Vanguard installs like a normal app, and updates download only what changed.
Bug fixes
- Heals ask the alliance for help again.
- Gem farming after a teleport searches around your new spot.
- Rally rush sends exactly what each march can carry, and only T5 and T4 troops.
- Only one copy runs per folder, so accounts are no longer logged in twice.
