The Vanguard window is split into a sidebar page list on the left, a top control bar, and the main area. Every feature across the app is shown as a card with a switch to add it to the loop, a Run now button, a Settings ▾ fold for plain-English options, an Advanced fold for technical timings (shown with Expert mode on), and a Test run (sends nothing) button. Use the sidebar to move between pages. Each page shows a different area of your account.

Guide

How to set up and use Vanguard, page by page
Below the attach panel, Contact us opens a form to reach support. See Contact us. To run more than one account, see Run Vanguard on more than one account.

Top bar controls

The top bar is always visible while the app is open.
1

DRY-RUN / LIVE pill

Click the pill to switch modes. In DRY-RUN Vanguard plans everything but sends nothing to the game. In LIVE Vanguard really sends actions. You can switch while the loop is running.
2

Run All Now

Runs every switched-on feature once, right now, then stops. Use this for a quick sanity check before going live.
3

Start Loop

Runs the switched-on features on their timers until you press Stop. This is the normal “leave it running” mode.
4

Stop

Ends the loop as soon as the chore that is running finishes. The game stays attached so you can start again.

Attach to game and Detach

At the bottom of the sidebar you will see the attach panel.
  • Attach to game: Connects Vanguard to your running game. The dot turns green when attached.
  • Detach: Disconnects cleanly. You must detach before switching from PC to emulator.
While the loop is running, a RESTING badge appears in the top bar if the current time falls inside your nightly rest window.

Overview page contents

The Overview page is the first thing you see after attaching. It shows live data pushed straight from the game.
  • Resource cards for food, wood, stone, gold and gems. After five minutes of watching, each card also shows a per-hour rate.
  • Training queue with the current unit, count, building and time remaining.
  • Hospital and troops stats, including wounded, healing status, marching troops, idle troops, idle commanders, shield timer, action points and march slots.
  • Marches out with commander pairs, destination, state and load percentage.
  • Live game data panel with a note that everything comes from the game directly and works while the game sits in the background.

Activity Log

Open the Activity Log page to see every action Vanguard attempted. Each row shows the time, function name, action, verdict and detail. Verdicts appear as coloured badges:
  • done: The game accepted the action.
  • refused: The game said no. The detail column explains why in plain words.
  • dry-run: Vanguard planned the action but did not send it.
Press Export log under the list to save the full log as a text file, for example to send to support. With Expert mode on, the bottom of the page also shows every line Vanguard writes, with a filter box.

Scheduler

The Scheduler page shows a card for each feature that is in the loop. Each card displays the time until the next run, a progress bar and the interval. Use it to see exactly when the next check will happen.

Contact us

Press Contact us at the bottom of the sidebar to write to support without leaving the app.
1

Pick a topic

Under What is this about?, choose Bug report, Feedback, Question, Billing & licenses, Feature request or Something else.
2

Add your email and message

Your email is filled in from your license when it has one. Change it if you would rather get the reply somewhere else. Then describe what happened and what you expected.
3

Attach your activity log

Attach my activity log is ticked by default. Vanguard compresses the log and sends it with your message, so there is nothing to find or attach by hand.
4

Send

Press Send. Support answers by email.
The log holds what Vanguard did and how the game answered, plus your governor name and city. It never holds your password or your license key. Your message reaches support even when your key will not activate, so you can still write in about a refused key.
