Vanguard sends the same network requests the game itself sends when you tap a button. It never clicks the screen, reads pixels, or moves your mouse. Because the server still sees the pattern of those requests, Vanguard includes safety controls to make the account look human. This page covers every safety setting and the recommended setup before you switch from DRY-RUN to LIVE.
Even with every safety setting turned on, letting an app play for you carries risk. There is no such thing as zero risk. Use Vanguard only on accounts you are willing to lose.

Why Vanguard is different

Vanguard talks to Rise of Kingdoms the same way the game’s own buttons do. A button moving on screen does not break it, and the game window can stay minimized in the background. That sturdiness does not make the account invisible, though. The game server still sees the timing and frequency of requests, which is why pacing and randomness matter.

Essential safety rules

1

Use one Vanguard per game

Only one Vanguard may be attached to a single game at a time. Two tools connected to the same client will crash it and create suspicious patterns.
2

Never run Vanguard alongside another tool that plays the game

Do not run screen tappers, macros, or other assistants on the same account. Competing tools create overlapping request patterns that are easy to flag.

Pace, rest hours, and limits

All app-wide pacing controls live on the Settings page inside the Pace, rest hours and limits card. Expand Settings ▾ to see the values in plain words. With Expert mode on, the Advanced fold shows technical timings that most players never need to change.
The Rest at night toggle with your real sleeping hours is the single most important safety setting. Switch it on and set Rest from and Rest until to the hours you would normally be asleep.

Feature-level caps

Every feature card has its own daily caps inside Settings ▾ and the Advanced fold. These stop Vanguard from doing an impossible amount in one day.
On the Military card, Settings ▾ includes Most speed-up items used per day and Most speed-up time used per day. These cap how many speed-up items and how many timer-seconds Vanguard will consume each day. Vanguard only ever uses speed-ups you already own and never buys more.
On Settings, Settings ▾ includes Never spend action points. When this is on, Vanguard will not spend action point items to start barbarian hunts or fort rallies. Leave it on unless you intentionally want Vanguard to use your items.
On the Gather card, Settings ▾ includes Gathering commanders only. When this is on, Vanguard sends only commanders with gathering bonuses to resource nodes, keeping your combat commanders at home. With it off, Vanguard ranks every idle commander by stats and may send combat commanders out.
Vanguard never buys anything, never spends gems, and never uses items you do not already own. The tavern draw it sends is the free draw and cannot be anything else.
1

Leave the pauses at their defaults

Do not shorten the Shortest pause between two actions or Longest pace between two actions. The defaults are human-sized.
2

Leave timing randomness on

Keep Timing randomness on each check enabled so no function fires on a predictable schedule. Leave Extra random wobble on each pause on as well.
3

Set nightly rest

On Settings, switch Rest at night on and set Rest from and Rest until to your real sleeping hours.
4

Keep daily caps at or below defaults

Leave speed-up caps and action-point settings at their defaults unless you have a specific reason to raise them.
5

Keep Gathering commanders only on

Unless you intentionally want combat commanders gathering, leave this toggle enabled.
6

Dry-run first before going live

Leave the top bar on DRY-RUN and press Run All Now. Open the Activity Log and confirm every planned action looks like something you would do yourself. Only switch to LIVE when the plan looks right.
DRY-RUN is not just for beginners. Use it every time you change a major setting or add a new feature to the loop.
