# Get bot replies in your language with !language

> Set the language the Rok Kingdom Helper bot answers you in. Type !language and a language name in game, or change the app language, to translate every reply.

The bot can answer you in your own language. Once you choose a language, every message the bot sends you is translated. This includes private messages and the public replies that answer you.

## Set your language in the game chat

Type [`!language`](/alliance/in-game-commands#for-members) and the name of your language in the game chat:

```

You can use the English name, the name in your own language, or a short code. For example, all of these work:

!language spanish
!language es
!language 中文
```

The bot answers `Language set:` and the language name. From then on, its replies come in that language.

## Check or turn off your language

* To see which language is set, type [`!language`](/alliance/in-game-commands#for-members) on its own.
* To go back to English, type [`!language off`](/alliance/in-game-commands#for-members).

## Set your language in the app

When you are signed in, changing the app's language also changes the bot's language. The bot then answers you in the language you picked in the app.

The app menu has seven languages: English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Russian, Japanese, and Arabic. For any other language, use [`!language`](/alliance/in-game-commands#for-members) in the game chat.

## Answer sign-up questions in your language

You can answer [event sign-up](/events/sign-ups) questions in your own language. The bot translates your answers into English for [leadership](/leadership/overview), and leaders can still see what you typed. Commands and words like `BACK` and `KEEP` work the same in any language.

## Good to know

* Commands, like [`!signup`](/alliance/in-game-commands#for-members), and links stay in English.
* In Spanish, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Japanese, and Arabic, the bot uses the game's own words for game terms. For example, Power, Commander, Kill Points, and Alliance Mobilization appear just as the game shows them, not as a word-for-word translation. In other languages, these terms are translated normally.
* If a translation fails, the bot answers in English.
* Supported languages include Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Arabic, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and more.
