# Read translated sign-up answers (leadership only)

> When players answer event sign-ups in their own language, leaders see the answer in English along with the original text in the app, CSV export, and Discord.

<Info>
  This page is for leadership. Only leaders (R4 and above) can see sign-up answers.
</Info>

Players can [set the bot to their own language](/players/bot-language). When they answer sign-up questions in game in that language, the bot saves the answer in English. You also see what the player typed, so nothing is lost in translation.

## Where you see the original answer

* **App:** open a player's panel from the event dashboard. Under the English answer, you see `Original (VI): ...`. The letters are the player's language code.
* **CSV export:** each translated question gets an extra **(original)** column with what the player typed.
* **Discord:** in `/events-admin`, select **Event status**. The original shows after the answer, for example `[vi: ...]`.

## If a translation failed

The bot saves what the player typed, without translating it. The app shows `Not translated (VI)` under the answer.

## If you edit an answer

If you change a player's answer in the app or on Discord, the original text is removed. It stays only while the answer is unchanged.
